THE PRACTICE
Architecture grounded in experience.
An independent architectural practice with decades of practical understanding and a commitment to considered design.
OUR STORY
Established in 1982.
Nicoll Design Chartered Architects was established in Prestwick by Chartered Architect Jim Nicoll in 1982.
Drawing on a background that spans both architectural practice and practical building experience, the practice brings a grounded perspective to the way buildings are conceived, planned and delivered.
From residential work to retail, commercial, health and leisure environments, our focus is on thoughtful solutions shaped around the needs of each client.
WHAT GUIDES US
A practical sense of possibility.
Considered thinking
Design decisions made with attention to the brief, the site and the people using the space.
Technical understanding
Ideas shaped by experience of construction, documentation and real-world delivery.
A personal approach
A clear conversation with clients from the earliest stages of their project.
BEYOND THE DESIGN
Supporting the whole journey.
Architecture is about more than a finished drawing. Every project has decisions, approvals and practical details that matter along the way.
We bring experience of coordinating the different disciplines and processes involved in getting a proposal ready to progress, including guidance around Professional Consultants Certificates where appropriate.
